ACTION FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Design and implement actions for conservation, restoration and sustainable management of productive systems, as well as socio-environmental solutions to support solid waste management, compensation or incentives for conservation, improved irrigation efficiency, risk management, etc. All these actions are aimed at mitigating and adapting to climate change and its impact on the water system and associated risks and guaranteeing the availability of ecosystem goods and services in the Sierra – Ciénaga corridor.

STRENGTHENING CAPACITIES AND ENHANCING PARTICIPATION

Establish different spaces for participation with stakeholders in the basins aimed at generating diagnoses and analysis of social and environmental vulnerabilities in the basins, understanding the impact on the environment and the water risk to which they are exposed in order to support the development of individual mitigation strategies and ideas for collective action in the basin. As well as strengthening the capacities of key stakeholders in the basins for effective participation and advocacy in water management and governance in the basin.

DEMOCRATIZATION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION

Collect, assemble, organize and make available basic information of interest related to the basins and their stakeholders as a result of own studies or studies developed by third parties. In addition, monitor the impact of the Platform and its actions in the basin, as well as the state of the basin in terms of Water Risks, Water Security and Governance. Along with establishing protocols and methodologies for the mediation of information according to topics of interest and developing a Decision Support System (DSS) with the gathered information to allow access to all stakeholders.
